Personality:

Sheryl doesn't always make the best first impressions. She is very self-centered and vain but she has every reason to be. Sheryl Nome is intelligent, talented and beautiful. Sheryl Nome tops charts with her songs and she is confident that there is no one in the galaxy that doesn't know her name or heard her music. But Sheryl isn't just your ordinary songstress. There is much more to her than what is seen on the surface.

There is Sheryl Nome the "Galactic Fairy." This girl throws tantrums, stubborn and bossy. She is a girl that always wants everything done her way and is unpredictable when it doesn't. However, she is shown to be very creative and innovative during a pinch. She isn't afraid to jump off a high platform and have someone catch her for the unpredictability she craves. Despite her diva personality, she still prides herself for being a professional. Her belief is that when things go wrong, the show must go on. She loves her job and she loves to sing. It is easy to see the passion she has for it in how passionately she sings her songs.

When asked by Alto, "Do you want to sing that badly?" She responds that it is only natural. Singing is the meaning of her life and she lived to sing. Death is better to her than to never sing again. That is how badly she loves her to sing.

Sheryl is a different person off-stage. What people didn't always see is this other side of Sheryl Nome. The child-like girl that enjoys the simple things in life, such as the beautiful sea and sky. Since she is always working and breathing the image of the 'Galactic Fairy', she never has a chance to just be herself and be a girl. She likes to play, tease and joke around. But despite all the teasing sexuality she exudes on stage, she doesn't take people who take advantage of her outside stage very lightly. She is surprisingly shy about revealing too much of her body outside her Galactic Fairy Persona.

She doesn't show it very often, but she does have a caring side. She is willing to pay a lot of money to save the people from her home the ship, Galaxy. As impulsive as it may seem, she isn't afraid to run to care for the people she loves when she finds out they are hurt. She is very gentle and encouraging when she is with Ranka, whom she recognizes to have a powerful talent for singing as well. She can be surprisingly considerate to Ranka and perceptive of her feelings for Alto, while understanding her own feelings for Alto.

Sheryl doesn't like revealing her weaknesses and goes to a great length to hide them. The last thing she wants is to receive pity. Inside, she hasn't quite moved on from her tragic past. She is afraid of being left alone and becoming that poor little orphaned girl before Grace O'Connor found her.

Abilities:

Singing -

She has naturally beautiful singing abilities. Her voice is so beautiful that she had been bestowed the name of 'Galactic Fairy.' Her singing ability is special for more than just its beauty. Sheryl is ill with a virus that can definitely kill her, but this virus also gives her the ability to produce folds and reach the Vajra, but at a lesser extent than Ranka Lee.

Earrings -

They are not only Sheryl's treasure from her mother, they are used by Sheryl to amplify her singing and call the Vajra to wherever she is. They are also able to convey and reveal her feelings to another wearer.

Oozing Sex Appeal -

Sheryl understands her assets and knows how to take full advantage of them to the fullest. This understanding of hers helped her catapult herself into stardom.

Can Stay Calm and Sing in the Midst of a Battle -

As silly as this sounds, this is how Sheryl displays her incredible bravery. If Sheryl believes that singing is the only way to help people, she will keep singing until her very last breath. She isn't afraid to die because she knows she is going to die anyway. Sheryl is a selfish diva but she at times shows that she cares about other people more.

Multifandom Test:

Because they are both idols, I'd imagine that Sheryl could get along very well with Lacus Clyne of Gundam SEED Destiny. Sheryl would like someone who would understand her love for music and the adrenaline of being on stage. Lacus would also be easy to relate to a popular idol's difficulty to stay out of the limelight. Since Sheryl had always been a lot gentler with girls than guys, she'd most likely avoid teasing her as much as she usually would.

She certainly wouldn't say no to a friendly singing and dancing battle one day. As much as she would like Lacus, she won't go easy on her. In fact, she would probably go all out and expect Lacus to do the same. After all, they are both professionals. They should show each other respect by showing that they acknowledge one another.

She'd also know how to make a guy like maybe Mr. Producer from Idolm@ster blush like crazy with her sexy movements and come hither looks. She also has a history of teasing and flirting when she is not being the Galactic Fairy. She always seems to know the right moves to get most guys to do anything she wants. Not that she leaves much room for them to say no.

Sheryl knew that as the Galactic Fairy she could attract attention wherever she went. At the moment, she was very much aware that the people around her were all talking about her. It is not a new situation to her. With her pretty face and smug airs, it was not hard to take notice.

A number of them kept looking her way. This reminded her too much of her first days at the academy. Girls made fun of her and laughed behind her back. Back then, she could remember her hands shaking and trying to keep herself from crying. But this time she swore it would be different. Sheryl Nome was much stronger now. She knew who she was and she wasn't anyone they should take lightly.

"Who does she think she is?"

"She acts like she owns the place."

"She is not so great."

"What is so great about her anyway?"

Even Sheryl Nome had her limits. She waited a few minutes before moving to the front of the room. Removing her very confining jacket and tossed it unto the nearest table. All eyes were on her as she did this. They expected her to say something but she was moving towards the piano. There was a determination in her eyes. She was determined to give them a performance they will never forget ... and began to play ...

When I was still in love with god, I never expected such a farewell would come. If I had known I could never feel your touch again, I would've hoped to be embraced just one last time. It's long long good-bye...

When she finished the song, she turned to her gossip mongers whom had turned silent and gave a deceptively innocent smile. She was Sheryl Nome ... and she wasn't called the "Galactic Fairy" for nothing. She smirked and blew a kiss before leaving the restaurant.
