» CHARACTER INFORMATION
Character NAME: Kira Yamato
Canon & MEDIUM:Mobile Suit Gundam SEED (Anime Series)

Coordinator -

There are two more known genetic types in her world. Coordinator and Naturals. Coordinators are the genetically enhanced humans. Their looks, abilities and talents have been altered to be almost perfect. They are faster, stronger and smarter than Naturals. They are also immune to most diseases. Naturals are the other type. The unaltered humans. For years, these two have been at war with each other. People like the Blue Cosmos call the Coordinators "monsters." Many naturals feel threatened and envious of the Coordinators and they are persecuted and killed.

However, they are still not perfect. Third-generation coordinators sometimes cannot have children. They become sterile. It is because unlike Naturals, it is very difficult to give them the genetic input for childbirth. The scientists of PLANTS are trying to find a solution but so far there is no cure for it. It is unclear if Lacus is a third generation Coordinator or not. But, she was engaged to a fellow Coordinator so it may be safe to conclude that there is a chance that they are Second generation.

Seed Mode - (Superior Evolutionary Element Destined-factor)

In both the first and second series, Kira's eyes dilates and a brief scene of what may look like a seed exploding appears. This is the SEED mode, usually activated when the person's feelings are strong and at times may seem out of control. Most of the time, this happens in the middle of battle, after a severe trauma to the person's mind and heart or when the person has the great desire to protect. There is an increase of awareness and their natural fighting capabilities are enhanced. In the first Series, Lacus, Kira, Athrun and Cagalli had them. Cagalli is a Natural, so it is possible for Naturals to have it. Some theorized that the SEED mode is an evolutionary development.

Computer Engineering -

Kira is also very good at hacking computers and electronics. He hacked the computer of the Strike Gundam in SEED and is seen fixing Lacus's pink haro in Destiny. Before the first war began, Kira had been an engineering student.

Firearms -

In Destiny, it is shown that Kira had become more comfortable and familiar with using fire arms than his sixteen year old counterpart. This may be an indication that during the two year time skip he had been getting training.

Combat -

Kira's battle senses have improved and unlike his younger self, he doesn't show as much remorse or regret in battle outwardly as much as before. He remains calm, collected and calculative. He has better understanding of his role in the war and has matured.

It also seems he had been given training as a soldier because he not only knows how to use firearms he also displayed more polished agility, awareness and combat skills.

Character PERSONALITY:

In the two year timeskip, Kira had changed not only physically but emotionally as well. Gone is the shy little boy and replaced by a matured man who acquired a calmer nature and perspective. At the start of the series, he can often be found walking by seashore or watching the ocean by himself. He is more quiet and reflective than his younger self. However what hadn't changed was his desire to protect.

He is still the Kira Yamato that desires peace, but he has accepted that to protect people means to take arms and fight. As much as possible, he avoids unnecessary deaths and chooses to maim his opponents rather than kill.

Sometimes, people question if Kira cared about self-preservation at all. He is willing to take any risk to save people even if it may mean his own demise. Lack of self-preservation is not the case. It simply means that these people meant more to him than his own life. If it means saving someone, Kira can be impulsive.

Personality-wise, he would be the last person you'd think to take arms and fight, but after his friend died he didn't think he could just return home and do nothing about it. He said, "If I have the power to make a difference, I should put it to good use." Kira was much to kind not to do anything after so many people get hurt, even if he absolutely didn't want to.

Despite his seemingly calm and gentle nature, Kira can be painfully blunt when necessary. If he believes that the person is at fault he is not afraid to say so even if it will hurt the person. His trust is very fragile too. Once it is broken, it takes a while for it to mend. He never claims to have all the answers. Kira knew there was still many things that he still needs to understand. All he can do is to fight for what he believes is right. He has seen so much death in his short life and sometimes the ghosts of his past haunt him. He still places the blame of the deaths of his friend Tolle Koenig and former love interest Fllay Allster on himself.

Kira doesn't really see himself as a leader. He is good at following orders, but he will not hesitate to disobey orders if he believed that these orders weren't right (For example, when he took Lacus Clyne to Athrun Zala because he didn't believe it was right to keep her hostage). His conscience is too strong, so he will always find himself trying to do the right thing. For Kira, he is a human being first and a soldier second, which made him a horrible soldier.

» EXSILIUM INFORMATION
Chosen WEAPON: Upon arriving in Exsilium, your character will be given the option to choose a weapon from a wide array of weaponry, or bring in a weapon from their canon. Please tell us what your character's chosen weapon will be, and whether it is from their canon or if they're choosing it from the Initiative armory. This is the section where we would like you to detail how your character's weapon evolves during their time in game—if your character has a sword and it's too heavy for them at first, tell us here that it will become lighter and easier to use over the course of your character's time in game.

Since Kira can't bring his Gundam and he needs to live up to his name of being Jesus, he will be bringing his 'Wings of Light' aka MMI-M15E "Xiphias 3" Rail Cannons that he can wear on his back.

It also comes with his beam shield. During a battle, he has a choice whether to use his beam canon or beam saber.

It is equipped with the High Mobility Aerial Tactics (HiMAT) System that allows him to use powerful boosters for flight. The EQFU-3X Super DRAGOON System and Multi-Lock Weapons System ("Full Burst Mode") that allows him to target multiple enemies at once.

Upgrades includes the machine become considerably faster, more accurate and efficient.

For those who fight, what are you fighting for?
Do you not ever wonder why we were chosen to fight another man's war?


Can't we somehow make our fate go different direction?


Isn't life so much more than being a pawn?


If life is so precious why do we have to take so many away? Is this fighting really the path that will lead to peace? I already promised myself that I would not follow another man's path but my own. If this is your idea of peace, this certainly isn't mine.

Third PERSON: We would like to see a prose example of your character's actions within the setting of Exsilium. It can be their arrival, or something set a few days, weeks, or months down the road into their stay. What we are looking for here is their own personal motivations, their thoughts, and their personal introspection. Must be a minimum of two full-length paragraphs. Test-Drive Meme with Lacus

During those short days of peace, when Kira wasn't tinkering and doing maintenance work on his weapons, he would be entertaining children with Lacus or by himself when Lacus was to busy to join him. It should come to no surprise that Kira would sometimes disappear for not more than an hour by himself. Never more. Not when he knew that he needed to return to the people he wished to protect. Of course not without letting Lacus know. Before, he would always give her a smile and a silent promise to always return to her. It always ate him up with guilt when he saw worry in her eyes.

If you wonder what he does during this time, he'd like to think it was nothing special. He would sometimes look for ideal spots to watch the sun set alone, to give himself time to put his mind at ease. Watching the sun set in silence and solitude was familiar to him. With everything that was happening around him, it was a rare moment to find time to relax and think about the unexpected direction his life lead to. Back in the first floor, he never thought of himself as a soldier. He only fought to protect those people he cared for ... and now he felt like he is forced to do it again.

It wasn't that he wasn't expecting to fight anymore. In fact, he knew the day will come when he would have to pilot the Strike Freedom again. What he didn't expect was having to have to fight a war that was a long way from home.

This was not their war they were fighting. He knew that. If he had a choice, he didn't want Lacus to fight either. But she was so determined to save these people and bring this world to peace as they had back home. It was easy to believe that they can when one heard it with Lacus Clyne's beautiful voice.

However, this day was not one of those peaceful days. He had finished doing modifications on his weapon and it was now time to test it out.
