[Personality]

Piper isn't your regular child of Aphrodite. While most children of Aphrodite are so concerned about their appearance, Piper cared very little of it at all and even saying she preferred brains over looks. She intentionally cuts her hair unevenly and tried her best to hide her attractiveness. She welcomed the appearance of her pimple named, Bob and had been upset when Bob disappeared after being claimed by Aphrodite. To her dismay, she is very unsuccessful in making herself look unattractive. As the daughter of Aphrodite, the Goddess of Love and Beauty, her beauty is comes with the territory. Her friend, Leo Valdez liked to tease her by calling her "Beauty Queen." She is best described as a tomboy with no interest in make-up or attracting the attention of the opposite sex with the exception of Jason Grace.

She is a very down-to-earth girl that wished to be liked not for her appearance or her famous father. She is distrustful of people's intentions for befriending her, wondering if they wanted to be friends with her or just wanted to become close to someone famous. As much as she loved her father, she is frustrated with him for making her feel like she had to compete with his career for even a bit of his attention. She steals by unknowingly using her 'charmspeak' on people to gain his attention. Not knowing that the decision he made to keep distant is to keep her away from celebrity life and give her just a bit of the normalcy that she wanted. As attractive as his daughter is, he knew that she didn't want the attention or the limelight (It is a very ironic fact too since most of her half-siblings compete for attention). She missed the father that had time for her and the rare times he was able to spend time with her is precious to her.

When her father's personal assistant sent her to a Wilderness School after stealing a BMW, she met Leo and Jason. They became her closest friends and then developed a crush on Jason. Believing that he is her boyfriend, she is seen to be very affection and caring towards him. It really hit her hard to discover that her memories of being together with Jason was the work of an illusion. Despite the discovery though, she can be very aggressive towards other girls that are potentially her rivals. Meanwhile, he relationship with Leo is a very platonic and teasing one. He enjoyed teasing her and calling her 'Beauty Queen.'

Before even discovering that she had 'charmspeak' and her other abilities, she wanted to be the one to go on the quest with Jason. This speaks action speaks a lot about her. It confirms that she is a very brave girl. Despite knowing that the quest was dangerous and not knowing if she could be of any help at all, she stepped forward. Even when they barely finished their first quest alive, she still continued to join Leo and Jason on their mission to camp Jupiter. It wasn't because she though she was invincible. On the contrary, she believed that she had to be the hero and being a hero doesn’t mean being invincible. It just means being brave enough to stand up and do what’s needed.

At the beginning of the series, she wasn't quite sure not to make of her half-siblings. She didn't feel like she belonged there and maybe at times, she still didn't. That never stopped her from trying to protect them anyway. Towards the end of the first book, she developed more confidence in herself and challenged Drew to protect her half-siblings from her bullying and abuse of power. According to Aphrodite, Piper is also the smartest among her children. Not at all surprising since she had always made it clear that she wanted more from herself than only having beauty.

Piper is also the type to put the welfare of those important to her before herself. Even erasing the memories of her father for his own good. The erased memories would overwhelm her father too much. Despite wanting her father to keep the memories because that moment had been the closest they had been for a while, she did as her mother advised and erased his memories. Their relationship had improved drastically despite his lack of memories. He now makes an effort to video call her at Camp Half-blood. He doesn't make it a secret anymore to say how proud he is of her saying, "They're going to remember me as Piper McLean's father, and that's the best legacy I can imagine."

In the Mark of Athena, the quest becomes more serious and dangerous. The Roman and Greek camps had never gotten along very well for various reasons. They risk getting killed when they touch Roman soil because of the animosity between the two camps despite Jason's presence. Predictably, Reyna was wary of them and even more so of Piper after finding out that she was dating Jason. What Reyna probably didn't know was how scared she was of Jason returning to 'where he really belonged.' Her insecurities showed when she was talking to Jason: "She's beautiful. She's powerful. She's so...Roman." It really bothered her that they might not be able to be together since they were from different camps that are currently not getting along with one another.

It is a regular Romeo and Juliet situation.

The people of the Roman camp's fragile trust was severed because Leo had suddenly attacked the camp with Argo II. Piper defended her friend and didn't believe that Leo would do something like that for no reason. She believed in Leo even when she couldn't stop worrying about Jason getting hurt.

Unfortunately, because of what Leo did there is a awkward tension and divide among the seven heroes. The heroes from the Roman camp trusted Percy but they couldn't forgive the fact that they still attacked. As their journey continued, the group did slowly begin to learn to trust one another. Or at least they were trying for the sake of the mission. When Percy and Annabeth fell to Tartarus, the group together made a decision to save their friends. Even then, Piper would put aside her own safety and life to rescue her friends.

She still thought about her dad. Even thinking and remembering him during her talk with Jason. Her father was still an important figure in her life after all. She remembered how he showed her an electric eel and told her about the electrical pulses it generated.

- You see a bloody knife on the floor. What do you do or think?

I guess ... if the blood isn't coming from me, it came from someone else. And I'd need to find that person quick. If the blood came from Jason, my dad or ... even Leo ... [ She pauses. You can see it on her face that she didn't even want to think about it. ]

... I know it could belong to anyone. The sooner I find out who the blood belongs to, the faster I get that person some help.

- You're asked to take someone out for a date. Do you agree? If so, describe what you would do. If not, tell why.

Oh, no. Oh, no ... I don't think so. I'm not really interested in dating --- [ Someone not Jason. ]

--- I mean, I am dating someone ... is this really important? [ This is an embarrassing question and it isn't really anyone's business. ] Because if it isn't, I am moving to the next question please.

- Your country is in the middle of a war. What do you think of it? Do you support it or try to solve it yourself by going on an epic quest? Explain.

[ Piper almost smiles. Just almost, but then shrugged. ] I can't do just nothing, can I? If there is something I can do, I'll do it.

... though I wish I could say it was that simple.

Actually, we were in the middle of a quest back home. That's why, I'd really like to get back home. I can't waste time here.

- Would you consider yourself a lover, a hater, a sinner, or a saint? Or maybe a mix?

Did my mother ask you to ask this question? [ Frowning and looking slightly annoyed. ]

I know my mother is ... 'the Goddess of Love' but I have to admit that I don't always feel like I am one of ... them. I don't really think I am much of a lover. I didn't really always like boys. I don't think I am a hater either, and I don't think I've done anything to say I can call myself a saint.

[ Another pause. She is concentrating hard on this question. ]

I read somewhere that everyone is a sinner. No one is perfect after all. Not even mother--- I mean, the gods were perfect. So why would their children be?

[Third Person]

This was not good.

That was Piper's first thoughts as she looked around this new world. She held the Katoptris tightly in her hands, ready to use it as a weapon in the event that she needed. She didn't like that she was alone. However, she still tried to hide her fear and nervousness behind a brave face. How did she get separated from the others?

The last thing she could remember was being on the Argo II.

She looks up and frowns. There was no way she could have fallen off from that height and survived ... or at least without getting seriously injured. That mystery could wait until later. It was much more important to find the others.

In her hands when she woke up was a device that she'd never seen before. It wasn't hers and she wasn't even sure if she could really find that others that way. It wasn't like she could just find their numbers in a convenient directory.

"Alright, McLean. Don't panic," she told herself. "They had to be somewhere around the area. So think!" She just needed a way to let them know where she is ... without alerting possible monsters around. Then she remembered that Leo knew Morse code. At best, she could at least find him. And very likely, she would also find Jason.

She did hesitate for a moment because her Morse code was very rusty and could only remember a handful of letters.

But she had to try something. She opened the device she had with her and typed only the following:

To most people, these lines and dots wouldn't mean anything. But to those who understand Morse code:

[Why do you want to play this character in Somarium?] It seems like a very interesting premise and it could be ideal for this character. Also, she will have castmates to interact with and that would be very interesting for me.
